What is the Charity Partner Program?
It is a goods-based donation program for Ilitch companies’ colleagues to donate items to support local charities.
Why conduct this program?
It supports Ilitch Charities' mission of providing for local charities. It is also an easy opportunity for our colleagues to show their spirit of giving by directly providing for those in need in our community.
This will be the first of a number of colleague-driven programs with a focus on getting Ilitch companies’ colleagues fully involved in Ilitch Charities' mission!
Ilitch Charities will partner with the following organizations in 2011, 2012, & 2013:
2011
March 1-31 – Salvation Army, Eastern Michigan Division – New & Gently Used Clothing
June 1-30 – Gleaners Community Food Bank, Southeastern Michigan – Non-Perishable Food
September 1-30 – Gift of Reading Program, Detroit Free Press Charities – New and Used Books
November 21 - December 16 – Toys for Tots – New Toys
2012
March 1-30 – Forgotten Harvest – Cereal
June 1-29 – Alternatives for Girls – School Supplies
September 3-28 – Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit – Clothing
December 3 - 28 – MotorCity Mitten Madness/Mittens for Detroit – Mittens/Winter Wear
